The People´s Deputies of Ukraine, representatives of central executive bodies and profile public organizations, including branch trade associations, participated in the discussion.
The attendants listened to the report of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine regarding management of budget funds under the following projects: the Lviv Water and Wastewater Project with the assistance of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development; construction (purchase) of service housing; State budget subvention to the local budgets for dwelling construction and purchase; use of funds for the objects of historical and cultural heritage, beautification of historic towns of Cherkasy region; implementation of actions concerning development and reconstruction of centralized water and wastewater systems; use of State budget subventions to the local budgets for social and economic development.
The report defines basic problems that hamper efficient investment of budget funds under the said projects.
The Committee recommends that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine enhances the mechanism of budget funds allocation and supervision over their management.
The relevant guidelines are forwarded to the Ministry of Housing and Utility Economy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction of Ukraine.
